How We Teach
This method is the result of many years of learning, teaching, experimenting, and refining — built around one clear objective:
To enable students to speak German confidently, correctly, and naturally — in exams and in real life.
The foundation of real speaking ability
Instead of starting with isolated grammar rules, students work with core sentence patterns, high-frequency structures, and authentic spoken German. Each pattern is trained through many carefully selected examples, systematic variations, and everyday contexts — so learners internalize German structure, not just understand it intellectually.
Training real language control
Students don't just learn example sentences — they learn to transform them. Change word order, switch tenses, replace elements, reformulate thoughts. This systematic training creates linguistic flexibility: the ability to react quickly in conversations, speak without hesitation, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
Precision without confusion
All grammar and structure explanations are provided in clear Language Info Documents — written in plain language, available in English and Chinese where helpful, focused on understanding logic rather than memorizing terminology. No academic overload. Just clarity.
Training for real communication
A large part of the material consists of realistic dialogs reflecting everyday situations, natural reactions, and authentic spoken language. Students don't just read them — they analyze, modify, extend, and ultimately create their own dialogs. Engaging, creative, and personal.
Internalizing German naturally
All core materials are supported by MP3 audio files. Listening is used strategically — to internalize sentence rhythm and melody, strengthen pronunciation, and reinforce structures subconsciously. Students can listen repeatedly, flexibly, even outside active study time.
Structured, transparent, powerful
The main working tool is Excel — intentionally. It lets learners filter and sort language patterns, compare structures side by side, recognize systematic differences, add personal notes, and build an individual learning system. Dynamic, living material instead of static pages.
Integrated, not separate
Language cannot be separated from context. At all levels the program includes insights into German mentality and communication style, cultural norms and expectations, everyday life in Germany, and practical rules for studying, working, and living there. As language level increases, these insights become deeper and more nuanced.
The Goal
Think less about German — use it more naturally.
Not perfect German. Not textbook German. But usable, living German.
By the end of this 1-to-1 course, you will be able to speak surprisingly fluently about simple everyday topics. Even at this beginner stage, the goal is not slow and hesitant word-by-word speaking. You will learn how to build simple sentences with flow, using patterns, fillers, and practical speaking tools that help you keep going. You will be able to say who you are, where you are from, what you do, which languages you speak, and talk in simple ways about your family, hobbies, food, daily life, and interests. You will work with the most important beginner sentence patterns, so that you can produce many useful sentences quickly and with more confidence. You will learn to ask and answer “yes/no”-questions, W-questions, and simple spoken question patterns used in real everyday communication. You will begin to understand how German sentences are built, where the verb goes, and how negation works (word order). You will be able to say what you do, what you like and dislike, what you want, and what you plan to do. You will already start linking ideas with words such as “and”, “but”, “or”, “because”, “what”, “then”, which gives your speech more flow and more natural rhythm. A major goal of this course is that you do not sound blocked. You will learn practical expressions and “fillers” that help you react, gain time to think, and continue speaking. You will also understand and use the most important beginner grammar. This includes gender, articles, some personal pronouns, present tense, modal verbs, accusative case, simple negations, possessives, plurals, time expressions, and first reason clauses. You will also be able to write in a simple but active way from the beginning The course is designed so that you do not only understand German passively, but already use it in speaking and in short writing tasks. We read, listen, and speak from Day 1.
